Who is behind DSTExchange?
DSTExchange was created by Creative Capital Wealth Management Group, a fiduciary advisory firm, to educate investors about Delaware Statutory Trust investments and 1031 exchange strategies.
Am I working with DSTExchange or Creative Capital?
DSTExchange is an educational platform. Any personalized guidance, consultations, and investment recommendations are provided by the team at Creative Capital Wealth Management Group.
Why was DSTExchange created?
Many investors first learn about DSTs in the middle of a 1031 exchange, when the clock is already running. We built DSTExchange to simplify the education and improve transparency so investors can evaluate opportunities on their own terms.
Are there multiple advisory firms on the platform?
Not currently. All consultations and guidance are provided through Creative Capital Wealth Management Group. If that changes in the future we'll make it clear on the site.
How long does the initial qualification take?
About 5–10 minutes online. You can immediately schedule a DST assessment with the Creative Capital team.
Are there any fees to get started?
No. Qualification, education, and the initial advisor consult are all complimentary. Fees only apply if you choose to invest.
What's the typical minimum investment?
Most DST offerings start at $100,000, though some begin as low as $25,000 depending on the sponsor.
How long is my capital tied up?
DSTs are illiquid by design, with typical hold periods of 5–10 years. They suit long-term, income-focused investors.
What kinds of properties are inside a DST?
Common asset classes include Class-A multifamily, industrial, medical office, self-storage, and net-leased retail.
What happens at the end of the hold period?
When the sponsor sells the property, you can take the proceeds (paying deferred tax) or roll them forward into another 1031 exchange.
Can I lose money in a DST?
Yes. DSTs are real-estate investments and carry market, tenant, and sponsor risk. Distributions are not guaranteed.
